Benevity Announces Impact Report, Showcasing Progress Toward a Purpose-Driven Future
New report highlights Benevity's people, planet and governance outcomes, and its role in shaping the future of corporate purpose
CALGARY, Alberta – May 1, 2025 – Benevity Inc., the leading global provider of social impact software, today released its 2024 Impact Report, showcasing significant strides across social, environmental and governance initiatives. The report captures how Benevity, together with its clients and nonprofits, is creating measurable, positive change at scale while redefining the role of business in society.
Against a backdrop of global challenges – from geo-political uncertainty to evolving expectations from employees and customers, Benevity continues to deepen its commitment to corporate purpose. In 2024, the company further aligned its own business practices with its core values across three critical areas: People, Planet and Governance. This holistic approach has strengthened Benevity’s internal operations and employee experience while reinforcing its leadership in setting industry standards for outcomes-based reporting and transparency.
”In 2024, we crossed an incredible milestone—supporting over half a million nonprofits through our platform, each doing critical work in communities around the world,” said Sona Khosla, Benevity’s Chief Impact Officer. “At a time when uncertainty threatens societal progress and cohesion, people are looking to businesses that authentically invest in a more positive future. Benevity’s client community represents companies that are steadfastly committed to purpose, driving measurable outcomes both for their businesses and for communities globally.”
Key impact metrics achieved include:
Our collective impact in 2024
Together with our clients, we enabled:

Our people: These results have been achieved through a cultural commitment to providing everyone with an opportunity to thrive, not through diversity targets or mandates:

Our planet: When it comes to reducing our carbon footprint, we’re focusing on key areas such as travel, events, data usage, supplier choices and office operations. In 2024, we made progress on our environmental initiatives in the following ways:
- Benevity’s footprint equaled 8,171 total emissions (tCO₂e) in 2024, a 30% reduction from 2023
- At Benevity Homecoming – an event for employees across the world to gather at the Calgary HQ
• Trees4Travel was used to offset 326 tonnes of carbon by planting 1,987 trees
• Through a Water Conservation Challenge, we saved 95,000 litres of water in just 5 days - Benevity’s Calgary and Toronto offices are in LEED Gold Certified buildings, recognized for energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable design
Our governance: As a Certified B Corporation, Benevity upholds high standards of transparency, accountability and performance:
- $3.4 billion dollars moved globally in 2024
- 2.2 million validated nonprofits on the Benevity platform
- The company maintains a 99% payment efficacy rate, ensuring accurate and reliable funds delivery to trusted nonprofits around the world
"At Benevity, we believe purpose isn’t a side initiative—it’s a strategic advantage that, when connected to business goals, drives long-term sustainable outcomes," said Christopher Maloof, CEO of Benevity.
